I just saw that Aurora Theatre has announced the four finalists for their Global Age Project (GAP), which focuses on new works that look forward instead of back. (Since a surprising number of plays are memory plays or explore something that happened in the recent past, GAP looks for what’s happening right now and in the near future.)
The finalists are Joel Drake Johnson, Bekah Brunstetter, Allison Moore…and San Francisco’s own Garret Groenveld. Congrats, Garret! (And other three people I don’t know!)
You can see their plays as staged readings at Aurora on Mondays, Feb 1 – 22. I don’t suppose Garret would mind if I called out the fact that his, The Serving Class, will be on Feb 8.
