Did you see that Aurora Theatre in Berkeley is now “the first certified green resident theater company in the Bay Area”? To get certified, they’ve done a whole bunch of carbon footprint reduction stuff, from setting up in-house recycling and composting to switching out every light, including the exit signs. Very cool.
Plus Shotgun Players was the first 100% solar-powered theater. So it looks like there may be a bit of a trend over in Berkeley. Hope it spreads.
