Annie Baker’s BODY AWARENESS WEEK at BAPF

Last night I caught Annie Baker‘s fantastic new play in a reading at BAPF. It’s unbelievably brilliant and I can’t imagine how or why she would change anything between this reading and the next. The play is about a liberal Vermont psychology professor attempting to run “Body Awareness Week” at her college, while at the same time her partner invites a visiting artist who takes pictures of naked women into their home. It’s hilarious, it’s touching, it’s really well-written, and I understand it’s going to be produced next May by the Atlantic Theater Company, so all you NY types should check it out.
