A while back, I mentioned that Peter Nachtrieb’s HUNTER GATHERERS was “not just the best play to debut in the Bay Area last year, but one of the best plays around, period.”
The American Theatre Critics Association agrees. They’ve given Peter a commemorative plaque! Oh, and $25,000, which they say is “the largest monetary prize for a national playwriting award.” Read about Peter winning the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award here. Read Peter’s take on the whole thing here.
Congratulations, Peter! Save $4.00 of the prize money for a celebratory beer. (Because I think this means it’s your turn to buy.)
