I’m not sure who linked to this interview with Jennifer Egan, but I’ve just discovered it, even though it was done about a year ago. It’s pretty terrific, walking you through all the missteps and random life events that led Egan to where she is today. Very inspiring.
And, of course, the whole site is that way, since that’s sort of the point, as you can see in their tagline:
There are interviews with George Saunders, Anne Bogart, David Shields, Sarah Ruhl. It’s been around since 2010, so you probably already know about the site. But I’ve just discovered it, so I’m doing a lot of procrastinating copying inspirational paragraphs into my journal.
