Kent Nicholson Is Leaving TheatreWorks

Playbill (and a few friends) (and Kent himself, on Facebook) report:

TheatreWorks‘ Kent Nicholson has been named the new Director of Musical Theatre Development at Playwrights Horizons.

Nicholson, who served as the Director of New Works at the California-based company that produces both in Palo Alto and Mountain View, will begin his transition into the position throughout the winter and will officially assume his duties in March 2009.

There had better be one heck of a sendoff party somewhere. I’m hoping Crowded Fire hosts, because those folks know how to host a shindig.
